Firefox to add RSS integration with "Livemarks"

Mozilla Firefox version 1.0 will add a new feature called Livemarks (Live Bookmarks). The Livemarks are powered by RSS feeds that you bookmark, and then they appear as folders filled with the items contained in the RSS feed. redemption in a blog has the full details (and screenshots).

OK, so I read the Redemption in a Blog article. I still don't know what a RSS feed is. Little help? All I do know is Firefox rules, and "livemarks" will be cool, whatever they are.

RSS is an XML document. Some people (a lot actually) provide RSS feeds of their blogs, and link blogs (similar to my Notable URLs). You can use RSS readers to import these RSS feeds and then display the data in a customized format (searchable, etc...).

So once Firefox 1.0 is out, and once I create an RSS feed for my Notable URLs, you could then make a Livemark, and not even need to come to my site to check out the Notable URLs, they would be available to you in your browser - constantly updating.

Very cool.

OK, so I've been using Moz' Firefox (MF) for a few weeks now. I have already made my entire office switch to it, plus, I've been telling everyone to switch.
I must say that our computer guy is also impressed that we use MF.
MF rules! No more trojan viruses, endless pop-ups, etc... The tab feature is brilliant, the security is extremely reassuring, and the bookmark/history features are super cool.
