CFUNITED Schedule Builder Open for Registered Attendees
If you're going to
CFUNITED this year, the
session scheduler is now available for you to plan out your schedule.
There's a huge array of topics to select from, so have fun.
Make sure you jump into one of the "TBA Scorpio Topic (Top Secret)" sessions offered each day as I bet Scorpio (the next version of ColdFusion) will be one of the hottest topics at CFUNITED - and seating is limited. Ben Forta just covered a lot on Scorpio at a recent BACFUG meeting, read more about that on
Sean Corfield's blog.
My session is not the only XML related session, here's the list:
- Chaz Chumley - Creating and Consuming WebServices - Wed 3:15pm
- Pete Freitag - Working with RSS in ColdFusion - Wed 4:30pm
- Andrew Schwabe - Coding with XML - Thurs 4:30pm
- Erik Goodlad - Ins and Outs of working with XML - Fri 8:30am
See you at CFUNITED!
Trans Mac Tip: SFTP on OSX via nightly build of FileZilla 3 Beta
FileZilla is a rockin' free FTP/SFTP client for Windows. I have been quite bummed that I haven't had it on the MacBook these past couple months. In it's place I have been using a very good Firefox FTP extension
FireFTP.
But today I hit a roadblock.
SFTP. FireFTP can't do it.
Out of desperation I decided to run a
Google search and to my astonishment there were a couple
blog posts pointing out that if you go into the
nightly FileZilla 3 builds you can see that both Mac OS X and Linux versions are available.
This was a very nice surprise since I was mostly looking to find someone else whining about the lack of FileZilla on the Mac and then having someone reply with a decent replacement.
Right now there is no way to import the sites.xml file into the nightly build, so you will have to setup all your sites by hand, hopefully that is resolved soon. But hey, I was able to connect to my SFTP server and get the job done.
Awesome.
