Support Our Troops
My stance on the war is this: Protesting the war is not going to cause the US to back out of the path it's already set itself on. We are at war. That's the deal. End of discussion.
So what do we do from here? Support our troops. Simply statement. We as americans should rally with the troops and the government that directs their actions and support them in what they do.
To get in the "war mood", the guys I am staying with picked up Platoon on DVD. I had to walk out of the movie. It depicts horrible actions from our troops during the Vietnam War. I can only hope that with the trained volunteer armed forces that we have in current times, that the correct decisions will be made.
I think that if I troops feel as if we support them and their actions, they will act on our behalf, and make better decisions. Whereas in what I have seen depicted in Vietnam War movies and stories, is that our troops were thrown into situations where they were on their own, and had to make decisions with no accountability. And horrible things did happen.
I don't know what else I have to say about this subject.
I'd like one order of Freedom Fries please...
Restaurants based in three Washington, DC government buildings are
changing the names on their menus of "French Fries" and "French Toast" to "Freedom Fries" and "Freedom Toast". This is an abolutely silly way of bocoting the French. It reminds me of one comedian's joke about how easy it is to make fun of Amish people because they will never be at one of his shows or watching his HBO special (I guess the same would also go making fun of Amish people on your website).
On the otherhand I can't wait to order some "Freedom Fries" the next time I get a chance. I am sure the person ordering will get really confused and mess up my order. When Burger King was offering their special Shaq Pak which was a regular combo with some nacho cheese dipping sause I thought it would be respecful of Shaq to not ask for my combo to be "King Size" like the menu suggests, but to order by combo "Shaq Size"... well the person got confused, gave me the wrong food, and got upset when I wanted to give bad the wrong food and re-order.

My wife and I now own a house. And my son has mastered going up and down stairs... perfect timing too since now our home has a staircase.
How hot is the alphabet?
Hotornot.com has a
version of their site where you can vote on people photos after they have been converted to ASCII art. Crazy.

Bilbo and his adventures with a male prostitute
Hard to say how long this will last without being changed, but Walmart's
description of The Hobit is a little mixed up.
